Cooking Classes

“Costa dei Trulli Cooking Class“, is a project promoted by the Province of Bari, for enhancing and promoting the area through the food culture of Apulia.

Cooking Lessons aimed at all: “amateurs into defeat“, cooking enthusiasts, citizens and tourists.

“Costa dei Trulli Cooking Class“ a space of open discussion, open to all those who feel curiosity, a desire to explore the thousand secrets of the culinary arts, a desire to find in food a way to share pleasant and suggestive emotions.

All participants will discover the great food and learn to cook the dishes of Apulian tradition through cooking lessons with local chefs. Cooking courses do not require any specific knowledge, are open to both those approaches for the first time to the kitchen and those instead seeking to improve their skills or learn new and innovative recipes. The attention and the professionalism of our chef to all the participants will ensure the perfect development of the course and a unique taste experience.

Lessons will be held on a weekly basis during the months of April and May. There are many recipes that will be presented in the programs of several restaurants and free will the choice to decide which classes to attend.

The Apulian flavors of the Mediterranean

Apulia is a region of warm, pleasant, plenty of sun, sea, and flavors. Along the region, thanks to the mild climate all year round, very valuable are the various fruit and vegetable production, which paint a rich palette of "gastronomic colors": next to the green of the olive trees and the yellow of wheat, here stand out the red of the tomatoes and the purple vines, plus artichokes, turnip greens, asparagus, peppers and aubergine.

Walking along the Apulian territory, one cannot be fascinated by its varied and colorful aspects, first of all the kitchen.

The Apulian cuisine is a perfect example of Mediterranean diet healthy and balanced. Simple and traditional Apulian cuisine combines local products with the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea. Fresh pasta, tomatoes, olives, extra virgin olive oil, cheese, seafood and shellfish, tasty vegetables are just some of the main ingredients of the Apulian cuisine.

Apulia is an ancient land, steeped in centuries-old traditions that are based on the nature of its territory from which they draw lifeblood. A territory from north to south is characterized by different areas that make the Apulian cuisine among the richest and most diverse of Italy. The uniqueness and peculiarity of the Apulia's culinary culture are taken faithfully in food production that have been handed down to the present day and which are today a treasure of inestimable value. The oil, olives, legumes, vegetables and starchy foods, accompanied by fine wines, characterize the cuisine of Apulia, particularly authentic and tasty.
